چکیده

Aqueous two-phase (ATP) systems are useful in the separation of, particularly, biomolecules. These form when an aqueous solution’s concentrations of phase-forming compounds (such as polymers like polyethylene glycol and salts) within envelope. Various physical chemical conditions affect ATP phase formation, such temperature, pH, composition. One set chemicals which has not been characterized terms impact on polymer–salt (ATPS) surfactants. It is important to quantify effects surfactants, they may be solution with extracted system. In this study four model surfactants (surfactin, Tween 80, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), laureth (SLS)) were added PEG 8000–PO43– systems, formation was recorded modeled using Merchuk equation. The addition reduced size envelope all cases, particularly affecting salt-rich bottom by increasing polymer concentration found therein. Little seen composition polymer-rich top phases. slope tie-lines impacted, slopes being increased, modifying phase–volume distributions changing critical point (w/w) from (0.076; 0.016) salt respectively no additions (0.077; 0.069) (0.075; 0.091) SDS, (0.101; 0.036) SLS, (0.072; 0.092) surfactin. separations demonstrated here, therefore extractions where there will present need construct modified diagrams, order properly operate

Micellization of sodium dodecyl sulfate and polyoxyethylene dodecyl ethers in solution

The effect of polyoxyethylene type nonionic surfactants (C12En n=3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8) on the aqueous solution of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) in absence and presence of NaCl was examined using small-angle neutron scattering (SANS), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and viscosity measurements. Upon addition of C12En, micellar size of SDS was found to increase significantly, and such micellar elong...

Toxicological effects of sodium dodecyl sulfate

The mass production and application of chemicals in different areas of plant and animal sciences cause a serious contamination to the immediate environment. Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) is also known as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and commonly used in household, kitchen and laundry uses as a detergent ingredient and others. The description of SDS is important because it is now entered into the ...

Effect of NaCl additive on properties of aqueous PEG-sodium sulfate two-phase system.

The concentrations of all components in the phases of aqueous two-phase polyethylene glycol-sodium sulfate system of a fixed composition with different concentrations of NaCl additive were determined. Solvatochromic solvent features of aqueous media in the phases of all the systems were characterized in terms of solvent dipolarity/polarizability, solvent hydrogen bond donor acidity and hydrogen...

Thermodynamics of micellisation: Sodium dodecyl sulfate/sodium deoxycholate with polyethylene glycol and model drugs

Variations in the critical micelle concentration (CMC) have been determined for sodium dodecyl sulfate and sodium deoxycholate (NaDC) in the presence of five drugs and polyethylene glycol (PEG) at 298.2, 304.2 and 310.2 K. From these data, thermodynamic parameters associated with the micellisation process (∆Gmic, ∆Hmic and ∆Smic) were calculated. In the presence of some drug-based compounds the...
